Youth Singing Together
Merging Waters is known for its diverse musical talent and musical events. And now there are even more possibilities, as Keith Whittall and Victoria Moulton, known for their musical expertise and experience with youth, have offered to coordinate a youth singing group for Merging Waters in the Fall -an opportunity for young people (8 and up) to sing together. It would be very collaborative, with the young people helping to make decisions as to the music. Please spread the word. Those interested should contact Keith
Whittall or Victoria Moulton at 514-425-2136 or

BEFORE I Die initiative from ORA – Loss & Living Outreach Program

ORA Loss & Living Outreach Program, a new support service being implemented in the West Island of Montreal and surroundings, is presently working on the Before I die… initiative which is a “worldwide public art project that invites people to reflect on their lives and share their personal aspirations in public spaces.”

This project goal is to promote life. “It’s easy to get caught up in our day-to-day and forget what really matters to us.” This initiative is to make people stop and take time: time to think about what is important to them, think about their goal in life, think about what they want to accomplish.  It doesn’t cost anything and we hope that passersby will find meaning and pleasure in writing on this temporary wall. This wall will travel throughout the city for the next month.

The wall will be at Montreal City Mission/ St. James United Church, 463 Ste. Catherine West, Montreal (Qc) H3B 1B1 from August 20 to August 26, 2017. We’re hoping for a positive response from our community.

About ORA – Loss & Living Program ORA, a Maori word meaning “life”, is a program dedicated to helping individuals and groups move through grief and loss in order to lead full – and fulfilling – lives by creating spaces for conversations around grief. The ORA – Loss & Living program is about piecing broken fragments together to renew life. For more information, contact Mrs. Lisa Byer-de Wever at (514) 501-5525 or at
