Did you know that: A Fundscrip card is basically a gift card for a store you go to on a regular basis. For example you could buy a $100 gift card to Metro. You pay $100 and you receive a $100 gift card to Metro. When you go to do your regular weekly grocery shopping you pay with the gift card instead of interact.
You can order your gift cards directly from Jack Brown, or you can go online 24-7 and order them yourself. They get delivered FREE OF CHARGE to the church on the following Sunday. You can pay for them in advance by setting up a direct withdrawal from your checking account or pay Jack directly when you order up your cards. (you could pay by CC online as well but that significantly decreases the amount of $$ Union receives, so not the best idea. BUT if that is the only way to get you to order the cards, then go for it!) In return for ordering your gift cards through our FundScrip account Union will receive a kick back in CASH.
It is so easy to make a difference. If just 20 Union Church families used FundScrip to buy groceries at all the major grocery chains, the church would receive over $1500 in one year. Imagine what would happen if people also bought gift cards for Bureau en Gros for their back to school supplies, or to the movie theater instead of at the box office? The possibilities are enormous!
Here are just SOME of the retailers your can get gift cards from: IGA, Metro, Loblows, Provigo, Rona, Bureau en Gros, LaSenza Girl, Esso, Ultramar, Petro Canada, Toys R Us, Best Western, SAQ, Swiss Chalet, Winners, Chapters, Coles, M & Ms, Subway, Cineplex…. The list just goes on and on…. it is HUGE.
Surely you go to some of these places on a semi-regular basis. If that is the case, why not buy some gift cards to use at the time of purchase instead of using your interact or credit card? Contact the office for more information.
